BARAGA — A pure white doe deer that attracted scores of persons to a farm near here last summer has been shot by isolators, the conservation department reported today. Conservation Officer Richard Beach Jr., Baraga, said three men were to be arraigned today in Justice John Payne’s court in Baraga on charges of will illegal killing of the deer. They were arrested at 1:30 a.m. today by Beach and Thomas B. (brad) Durling, L’Anse. Two men were standing on the shoulder of the road. One of them was carrying a rifle. The dead deer was reportedly lying in the ditch near the men. Both were arrested. A third man driving the car arrived on the scene. The officers promptly arrested him also.
