Virtual event benefits Scouts

MARQUETTE — Mason Crosby will be speaking at the Virtual Bay-Lakes Council fourth annual Golden Eagle Event at 5 p.m. ET Tuesday.

Crosby is a kicker for the Green Bay Packers. He played college football for the University of Colorado and earned unanimous All-American honors. Crosby was drafted by the Pack in 2007. He has not missed a game in his career, playing in 208 straight regular season games, the second-longest streak in franchise history (only second to Brett Favre).

The Golden Eagle Dinner is chaired by Dean Basten, Treasurer/CFO Miron Construction, Mike Daniels, President/CEO Nicole Bank, and Glen Tellock, President/CEO of Lakeside Foods. Dean and Glen both also happen to be Eagle Scouts.

The program will include the story of Troop 73 in Appleton, who never gave up on a critical community service project. And Bay-Lakes Council’s own Teresa Dold, one of the first female Eagle Scouts in the country will be part of the program, which also includes a silent auction.

The funds raised will be used to support local boys and girls in Scouts.
