‘Forest Forensics’ offered
MARQUETTE — The Upper Peninsula Land Conservancy is hosting “Forest Forensics: Ghosts on the Landscape,” a virtual educational series, along with and the Leelanau Conservation District, from 7 to 8 p.m. Nov. 5.
Participants will learn to read history in the landscape around them, making note of mysterious sightings like humps, bumps, pits and valleys — all common features — and noticing crooked trees, random boulders or old fence posts in the middle of nowhere.
