Fall genealogy event goes virtual

MARQUETTE — Registration is open for the Fall Genealogy Log-in, which was formerly known as the lock-in. The event will be held virtually this year at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23.

It is for those who want to know more about researching their family histories, organizers said.

The keynote session, Scandalous Ancestors: Tracking Black Sheep Family Members, will be led by Jessica M. Trotter, MSI, Vice President of Lansing Area African American Genealogical Society via Zoom.

Register by calling the Peter White Public Library at 906-226-4311 or e-mail the reference desk at refdesk@pwpl.info. Upon registration, the Zoom link and handouts will be sent out.
