NEGAUNEE — A class of eight candidates was initiated into the Hi-Y club at a special ceremony in the high school building Wednesday evening. The Hi-Y club, an organization affiliated with the Young Men’s Christian association, is one of the most active student groups in the school, and plans are being made for an interesting series of programs for the current year. The club meets every Monday evening in the high school building and a feature of practically every program is a talk, either by one of the students or an outside speaker. The following students were admitted to membership Wednesday evening: Marshall Phillips, Sheldon Collins, Clarence Goldsworthy, Joseph Holman, Claire Heinonen, William Hakkarainen, John Van Brocklyn and Vito Bertucci.
