Line 5 virtual info session tonight

MARQUETTE — The Michigan Department of Energy, Great Lakes and Environment will hold an information session on Enbridge Line 5 Tunnel application submittals from 6 to 7 p.m. today.

EGLE staff will provide an overview of the application submitted by Enbridge Energy, Limited Partnership related to the proposed Line 5 Great Lakes Tunnel Project crossing the Straits of Mackinac and our permitting process for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit and Part 325, Great Lakes Submerged Lands; and Part 303, Wetlands Protection, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended, permit applications.

The purpose of the meeting is to explain what has been received in the applications, discuss how the public can participate and comment, and the timeline for permit decisions.
