Funday Sunday Benefit Concert
BARK RIVER — The Northern Sun Winery and Vineyard is offering a Funday Sunday Benefit Concert with the added attraction of Chicago musician-singer Kraig Kenning for concertgoers to enjoy while sipping the estate-grown, award-winning wines of Northern Sun.
Advance tickets are $10 and are still available at the winery and the Delta County Chamber of Commerce. Admission on t of the concert is $15. Proceeds benefit “Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library” for youth, sponsored locally by the United Way of Delta County.
Northern Sun and co-sponsor United Way of Delta County welcome Kenning to the vineyard’s pergola this Sunday to entertain with his guitar-picking skills and his memorable lyrics. Fans of contemporary folk, acoustic blues and “roots rock” will find something to their liking as well as marveling at his award-winning finger-picking on acoustic and steel resonating guitar. He has toured the U.S. for three decades, performing in intimate venues and at popular music festivals.
Concert begins at 4 p.m. Sunday and proceeds rain or shine. A free vineyard tour precedes the concert at 3 p.m.The vineyard observes social distancing restrictions but offers ample space for affinity group picnicking and seating. Hand sanitizer stations are located on the grounds. Masks are required inside the tasting room, where capacity is limited to four guests at a time; wine service counters will be available around the grounds for concert guests.
Early arrivals can spread blankets or set up their lawn chairs to enjoy the winery’s “Grown-UP” wines with their picnic fare; additional picnic items are available in the tasting room. No alcoholic beverage carry-ins are permitted.
