Traditional music jam planned

MARQUETTE — From 2-5 p.m. Saturday, the Peter White Public Library will host a traditional music jam on the library’s Front Street steps.

Bring a chair or blanket for comfort.

Take out a guitar, banjo, fiddle, bass, ukulele, harmonica, or just a voice, and join other acoustic musicians and vocalists for an informal community jam session. Celebrate the traditional folk music of the Carter Family, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, and others. It’s a chance to share love of music and learn a new song or instrumental technique. Listeners and singers are always welcome.

A rain date has been set for the following Saturday, July 18 from 2-5 p.m. For more information, email Carolyn at cmcmanis@uproc.lib.mi.us or check visit pwpl.info or on find the PWPL page on Facebook.
