Thefts from vehicles reported

GLADSTONE — Troopers from the Michigan State Police along with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office and Gladstone Public Safety are investigating several thefts from motor vehicles in the North Bluff area in Gladstone.

MSP Gladstone reported on Monday that several unlocked cars were entered and rummaged through with several items being taken, including cash, a cell phone charger, personal information, and a handgun that was later recovered a short distance away, among other items.

So far, at least 16 victims reported their vehicles rummaged through or something stolen.

Anyone with information on the investigation should call the Michigan State Police Gladstone post at 906-428-4411 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

Residents are urged to always locked their vehicles even in the driveway. If they see any suspicious activity, they should report it to local authorities or call 911.
