Man suffers minor injuries in car-motorcycle accident
ISHPEMING — A man was injured in a car-motorcycle accident in Ishpeming Township on Saturday, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The office said it responded to a two-vehicle crash on Bradstad Road at 8:37 p.m. Saturday. A 2001 Toyota Corolla driven by a 16-year-old Negaunee man was struck head on by a motorcycle driven by a 29-year-old Ishpeming man.
The Ishpeming man lost control of his motorcycle and crossed into the path of the Corolla, crashing head on with the vehicle. The driver of the Corolla suffered no injuries, but the driver of the motorcycle received minor non-life- threatening injuries and declined EMS assistance.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Ishpeming Township Fire and UP Health System-Bell EMS.
The crash remains under investigation.
