Partial street closure today

MARQUETTE — The north and south lanes of Presque Isle Avenue between West Fair Avenue and West Kaye Avenue along with the sidewalk and Northern Michigan University parking lot on the west-side of Presque Isle Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 6 a.m. today for an overhead electrical line maintenance project.

The project is anticipated to take 10 hours. City officials advise the public to not approach crews while they are working as their tasks that they perform put them near energized equipment, which requires focus and concentration.
