Parade for MSHS grads Sunday

MARQUETTE — Marquette Senior High School 2020 seniors and their families will participate in a car parade from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, which was originally scheduled to be their graduation day. The parade will depart from the high school parking lot, travel to Lincoln Avenue to Washington Street, to 7th Street, College Avenue to Lincoln Avenue to the Wright Street Roundabout back to Lincoln Avenue before returning back to Marquette Senior High School. The procession will be led by the Marquette City Police with Double Trouble D.J.s playing ‘Pomp and Circumstance over the loudspeaker, the MSHS website states. Fox Sports Marquette – 105.5 will play “Pomp and Circumstance” on the radio while reading the name of each graduate over the air.

Seniors and families are asked to arrive at the MSHS between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m. to begin lining up.

Seniors should wear their graduation cap and their class T-Shirt, the site states. Organizers are asking that vehicles be decorated ahead of time and that only one vehicle per family participate in the parade.
