Essay contest deadline extended

MARQUETTE –Yellow Dog Watershed Preserve has extended the deadline for its spring 2020 essay contest.

People are asked to consider writing a little something about the healing and rejuvenating power of nature and submitting it to the contest.

The theme is The Healing Power of Nature. Essays can be submitted by anyone except YDWP staff, board members, and their immediate families. The maximum word count: 800. Submit by emailing a Word document to brian@yellowdogwatershed.org.

The winning essay will be published in the fall 2020 YDWP newsletter as well as on the preserve’s website. The winner also will be entitled to a gift membership for her/himself, a friend, or a family member.

Essays will be judged by a committee of qualified staff and one outside reader.
