Presentation, training to be held
MARQUETTE — A presentation on sexual education and training for patients on the autism spectrum from a Michigan State University professor will take place Thursday at Northern Michigan University.
Assistant professor Dr. Zakia Alavi will give an informative conversation on autism titled “Teaching Moments: the Birds, the Bees & Autism” from 7 to 9 p.m. at Reynolds Recital Hall on Lee Hall Drive and Seventh Street in Marquette. Alavi will discuss the role of puberty in the “genesis of complicated pyscho-social phenomenon,” according to the Facebook event page.
