Father Marquette wins Lego League Robotics Championship for U.P.

Father Marquette Catholic Academy of Marquette won the Middle School First Lego League Robotics Championship for the Upper Peninsula. The team, “Itty Bitty City Committee,” will compete in the state finals in Mason, Michigan, on Saturday. They won First Place in all categories: robot performance, Lego League Core Values including Gracious Professionalism, Teamwork, extemporaneous problem solving, and their city project explanation of the Ore Dock rehabilitation. They reached out and presented to city, engineering, and history experts. IBCC includes the following: Coach Matt Maskart, Tracey Maskart, Anthony Thill, Jackson Gregorich, Owen Maskart, Matthew Reilly, William Niemi, Isaac Hagle, Logan Curran, coaches Sara Hagle and Scot Hagle; Front row: Ana Alexander, Maddy Croney, and Lydia Gorsalitz.
