MARQUETTE — The Presque Isle Marina and Presque Isle boat launch was to close Monday for construction of the new docks, with the marina remaining closed until the project is completed.

The launch will be intermittently closed for demolition of the piers and installation of the new docks. The project is anticipated to be complete in early November. During this time anyone wishing to launch on Lake Superior in Marquette should use the launch at the Cinder Pond Marina in the Lower Harbor. This project is funded through a grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Waterways Commission with a 50% city match.
