NRC to host events in Marquette

MARQUETTE — Members of the Michigan Natural Resources Commission will be available to meet with the public Thursday in Marquette. Commissioners will be available from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the My Place restaurant, lower level, inside of the Holiday Inn, 1951 U.S. 41 West.

Part of the commission’s “Coffee with the Commissioners” program, this gathering is an opportunity for area residents to sit down over a cup of coffee and share their thoughts, suggestions and concerns about Michigan’s natural resources.

“It’s important that we give Michigan residents across the state every chance to hear from them on the management, accessibility and long-term future of Michigan’s natural resources and outdoor recreation opportunities,” said NRC Chair Vicki Pontz.

The commission will hold its regular monthly meeting later that day, starting at 12:30 p.m. at Northern Michigan University’s Northern Center in Ballroom 1. The meeting’s agenda is available on the Michigan Natural Resources Commission webpage, Michigan.gov/NRC.
