IRON MOUNTAIN– The driver and passenger of an ATV were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a single-ATV crash on East Fordville Road in Breen Township around 3 a.m. EST Sunday.

The ATV, which was occupied by two males, had approached a corner at a high rate of speed and was “unable to negotiate the corner,” according to the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post.

The ATV rolled over numerous times, ejecting the passenger. Both the driver and the passenger were transported to the Dickinson County Hospital by Star Ambulance and Beacon Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash, police said.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post were assisted at the scene by Star Ambulance, Beacon Ambulance and Breen Township Fire Department.
