UPSDA to meet Wednesday

MARQUETTE — The annual meeting of the Upper Peninsula Sled Dog Association will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Ampersand conference room located in the Masonic Building, 132 W. Washington St., Marquette.

The purposes of the meeting are to present an organizational year-end summary of UPSDA activity, to elect three board members who will serve for three years, and to consider revisions to the bylaws.

UPSDA board meets monthly, except July. Events include the U.P. 200 Dryland Dash and Fun Run in October, and the U.P. 200, Midnight Run and Jack Pine 30 Sled Dog Championship races, which take place in February.

Everyone is welcome to attend the annual meeting. People with a current UPSDA membership are encouraged to vote in the board member election.

To become a UPSDA member, visit the membership section of the group’s website, www.UP200.org. UPSDA encourages people to consider becoming a board member, to nominate someone for a board position or to volunteer for one of the UPSDA committees.
