Ghost stories at museum tonight

MARQUETTE — The Great Lakes hold a phenomenal amount of power. From generation to generation, stories have circulated of strange happenings in their depths and on the crests of their waves.

The public is invited to join Marquette Maritime Museum and expert ghost story teller Orion Couling today at 6 p.m. for all ages and at 8 p.m. for 13 and older to revel in ghostly tales, delight in spooky stories, and take a journey into the legends surrounding these haunted waters.

Couling leads ghost tours and paranormal investigations professionally in Chicago, New Orleans, and in the Upper Peninsula. His interactive session will keep the audience engaged and they’ll leave enthralled, wondering where the folklore ends and the truth begins.

The first event of the night (6 p.m.) will be tailored for children and a general audience. However, note that by their very nature, these tales can be dark and sometimes violent. Use discretion when bringing young adventurers.

Tickets are $10 and are available at Marquette Maritime Museum.
