The Masonic Center hosted the Marquette County Mom Prom Friday night. The event is a fundraiser that chooses a different family, individual or nonprofit organization each year to receive the proceeds. Mom Prom invites women over 21 to dress in their black-tie attire and “prove that when women in a community come together to help one another, big things can happen,” according to mqtmomprom.com. This year’s recipient is the Chittle family of Negaunee. Eight-year-old William Chittle is a boy who suffers from three unrelated, rare medical conditions.
