ISHPEMING — An 11-year-old Ishpeming girl was given an Outstanding Citizens Award Friday from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department for returning the money-filled wallet of an Ishpeming man. While walking to the bus stop on Nov. 9, Kimberly Nault, who attends Phelps Middle School in Ishpeming, found a wallet containing $76. She turned it over to authorities. Kimberly said she found it in an alley near Birch Street and Deer Lake Avenue. “And I took it to the bus, and when I took it out there was a whole bunch of money in it,” she said. “I brought it to school and gave it to the principal and he gave it to the police.” Kimberly is the daughter of Peter and Ann Nault of Ishpeming.
