Spaghetti dinner fundraiser held

NEGAUNEE — The Negaunee Boy Scout Troop 346 will have a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at the Negaunee Township Community Center.

The suggested donation is $5 and children 5 and under are free. Take out containers will be available.

Those unable to attend who would like to support the Negaunee Boy Scout Troop 346 can mail donations to Boy Scout Troop #346, 158 M28, Negaunee, MI 49866, Attn: Shirley Reno (Treasurer)

Negaunee Boy Scout Troop 346 was re-chartered by the Bay Lakes Council of the Boy Scouts of America in the second half of 2016. Due to the breadth of programming and skill development offered to youth through the Boy Scouts, it is necessary to maintain a significant amount of outdoor gear and educational materials. In an attempt to provide appropriate storage facilities, the troop leadership has recently purchased a storage container that is now located on Negaunee Township property. The township has been very supportive of the local Scouting movement for decades and continues to provide meeting space for the troop.

Troop leadership has decided to inform the public and local business community of the needs for help in obtaining the tools and resources needed to provide local youth with a quality experience. Leadership, life skills, outdoor skills, organization and community service are some of the primary traits fostered by a quality local Scouting program.
