CHAMPION -- October has arrived, which means Linus awaits the Great Pumpkin, and Snowville Farms in Champion will host its fifth annual Pumpkin Fest.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Snowville Farms is located at 10950 U.S. 41 in Champion.
"Join us at Snowville Farms for a day of autumn fun," said Becca Conery, co-owner of Snowville Farms.
The event will feature pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for sale, an indoor pumpkin patch which is ideal for kids to pick their pumpkin and take photos.
"It is a wonderful event for the whole family to enjoy the fall colors, pick out Halloween pumpkins, and support local vendors," Conery said.
There will also be kids games, including grain wagon basketball. The Dead River Grillin’ and Sips food truck will be serving hot cocoa, cider, and other fall favorites. In addition, a variety of local food and craft vendors will be on-site, offering fall-themed goods.
There will be a canned good drive to support the local food pantry.
"If you bring a canned good donation, you'll receive a coupon for a discount on your pumpkin purchase," reads the event page.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information and updates, visit the Snowville Farms Facebook page or go to www.snowvillefarms.com.
