MARQUETTE -- The Marquette Maritime Museum will present its annual fundraiser, Ghosts of Lighthouse Point, from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8 and from 7-10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9 and Saturday, Oct. 10 as "historical ghosts and dead sailors haunt Lighthouse Park" in Marquette.
Tours will leave every 10 minutes from the bike path in between the museum and the Coast Guard station.
The 7-8 p.m. tours are kid and family-friendly, and the 8-10 p.m. tours are for adults and teens 13 and over.
Tickets can be purchased by calling 906-226-2006.
Tickets will also be available at the event, and will be $15 for general admission (13 and over) plus one canned good, $10 for Northern Michigan University student admission plus one canned good, and $8 for children (12 and under, 7-8 p.m. only) plus one canned good.
Be advised that this tour requires an hour of walking/standing and participants must be able to climb 45 steps to get to the lighthouse. All funds go toward the Marquette Maritime Museum and food donations will benefit the NMU food bank.
