This elderly man was observed by passing motorists and others early Wednesday afternoon down in the roadway on West Washington Street in Marquette, although it wasn't immediately clear what happened to him. No police were at the scene although a Marquette Police Department vehicle was seen approaching from the east. It's worth noting the vehicle's lights were not flashing. It appeared good samaritans had taken charge of whatever happened, including two persons who were directing traffic. Calls to the MPD were not answered Wednesday afternoon.
