St Vincent dePaul of Marquette to temporarily close

MARQUETTE -- St. Vincent de Paul Marquette District has announced that its facility at 2119 Presque Isle Ave., in Marquette will be closed Oct. 5-7 as construction moves into its next phase.
The closure will include the location's store, donation drop-off, food pantry, financial assistance office and medical equipment loan closet. No services will be available at the Presque Isle Avenue location during these days. The facility is expected to reopen for regular hours on Oct. 8.
"This temporary closure marks another important step in the renovation and expansion project celebrated at the organization's groundbreaking ceremony in July," said St. Vincent de Paul Marquette District. "The project includes a 1,344-square-foot addition, additional confidential office space for financial assistance services, an educational conference room, updated restrooms and important electrical and HVAC improvements.
"These improvements will provide greater privacy and dignity for neighbors seeking financial assistance while creating space for future educational programs designed to support individuals and families in the community."
