Slate of Oktoberfest events set for weekend

MARQUETTE -- Prost! Prost! A slate of Oktoberfest events is set for downtown Marquette this weekend.
Blackrocks Brewery is set to host its annual Oktoberfest event from noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday.
The event and music schedule is as follows:
2-3 p.m., Octatuba
3:30-5 p.m., World's Most Dangerous Polka Band
5:30-6:30 p.m., Octatuba
6:30-7 p.m., Stein-holding competition
7-8:30 p.m., World's Most Dangerous Polka Band
There will also be a variety of food trucks, commemorative steins available for purchase (while supplies last), multiple German lagers on tap, and Hammerschlagen will be played.
"We encourage attendees to wear lederhosen and dirndls," said Blackrocks Brewery co-owner Andy Langlois. "Come out, enjoy the food, music and beer."
In addition, the Ore Dock Brewing Co. will be holding its inaugural Steins for Good fundraiser from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday. The event aims to raise funds for United Way of Marquette County.
The Knockabouts will be performing live music, and the event will also feature a stein-holding contest, a pretzel-eating contest, a frozen shirt challenge, and a costume contest. There will also be commemorative mugs available.
