ISLE ROYALE NATIONAL PARK-- The search for a missing hiker on Isle Royale National Park has been ongoing for several days now.
Craig Berg, age 70, missed his ferry home on Sept. 5. According to Debby Berg, Craig's wife, Craig Berg is approximately 6 feet tall and 230 pounds.
Debbie Berg also gave information on Craig Berg's intended hiking route, saying in a post on Facebook that, "He entered the island at Rock Harbor, hiked there a day and then went onto Windigo, and planned to hike back to Rock Harbor.
"The Park service has his itinerary. The most important thing right now to do is ask people if you saw him on a trail to report to the National Park Service where you saw him and approximately what day, as this information will help us to locate him faster," she said.
Added Liz Valencia, Acting Administrative Officer for Isle Royale National Park: “The National Park Service is searching for an overdue hiker at Isle Royale National Park. The individual, from Royal Oak, Michigan, was scheduled to depart on Ranger III on Saturday, Sept. 5. A report was made by the family on Sunday, Sept. 6, that the hiker did not come home as planned. Search operations have been ongoing since that report."
