One hurt in 2-vehicle crash

HARVEY -- Personnel from the Chocolay Township Police Department are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

According to a CTPD written statement, officers were dispatched to the scene of the incident, which was the intersection of US 41 and M-28 at about 2:17 p.m. Tuesday.

The initial investigation has found that the northbound vehicle on US 41 turned left on to Cherry Creek striking a southbound vehicle. One male was transported to Upper Peninsula Health System-Marquette for non-life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The accident remains under investigation.

Chocolay Township police officers were assisted by officers from the Marquette Police Department, the Marquette County Sheriff's Office, the Chocolay Township Fire Department, UPHS-Marquette and Goodwin’s Towing.
