Law Enforcement Torch Run to be held Tuesday

MARQUETTE -- The 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics has been announced. Check-in is at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and the official event start time is 6 p.m. at the Superior Dome in Marquette.

Registration fee is $30 per runner, and includes the annual LETR t-shirt. Dog registration is an additional $25, and includes a leash.

"Join us for Flame of Hope week, where your support empowers incredible athletes across Michigan who compete year-round for Special Olympics Michigan, at no cost to them," said the LETR event announcement.

"By participating, you become a beacon of hope, raising funds and awareness for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Carry the Flame of Hope and run or walk alongside our local athletes, community members, and passionate LETR volunteers. Together, we can inspire change and make a difference!"
