Manistique Car and Motorcycle Show set for Sept. 4-5

MANISTIQUE -- The 29th annual Manistique Car and Motorcycle Show will be held on Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-5, in downtown Manistique.
The event is free to the public and is sponsored by Team Chevy and the Manistique Merchants. Car registration is $25 and includes a shirt.
The Friday night cruise will line up at 6:30 p.m., ahead of the 7 p.m. cruise. This will be followed by a free screening of "American Graffiti" at the Highway 2 Community Drive-in Theater at dusk. The event is sponsored by Larson Automotive.
The car show will be held on Saturday, beginning with an 8 a.m. registration and lineup. The show opens at 10 a.m., with the awards ceremony at 3 p.m.
Another free event at the Highway 2 Community Drive-in Theater will follow Saturday's events, with a double feature screening of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "The Breakfast Club" sponsored by Wheaty's Pub.
There will also be classes offered for cars, trucks and motorcycles, a trophy presentation, 50/50 raffles, music by Beats by Pete, Elks Chicken BBQ, a Makers Market and more.
