MARQUETTE — Still reeling from the success of April’s MarquetteMania IV, the UPW is set to return for the first ever Casino Clash on Saturday, July 25 at the Ojibwa Casino Event Center, located at 105 Acre Trail in Marquette.

“Following the success of MarquetteMania IV, which drew (over) 1,150 raucous fans to Lakeview Arena at the end of April, this is UPW’s next event,” said Lloyd Sarrel, owner and promoter of UPW Pro Wrestling. “(This) is the first time UPW is appearing at the Ojibwa Casino. If both organizations are pleased with the upshot of this show, I’d love to see this become a regularly scheduled event following MarquetteMania each year.”

The event will feature wrestling acts The Collective, featuring The Benefactor, UPW Heavyweight Champion Sampson, UPW American Champion Big Kon and Mr. Made for TV Tully Bertorelli, will be front and center, with Sampson and Kon defending their respective titles. J-Sin will be in action, as will Ghetto Gear Solid, Leela Hall, the Society, Onyx Andretti and B.J. Allen.

There will be talent making their first appearances in a UPW ring, including Backwoods Brown, The Pink Pitbull Lucky Leone, Mad Maurice, Enoch the Alpha King, the Ninja Dragons and Sexy BJ Ray, who has had runs with WWE: Next Gen and WWE LFG.

“Be ready for fast-paced, hard-hitting entertainment,” Sarrel said. “This is a family show, so all ages are welcome.”

He noted that, as this event is at the casino, parents need to be mindful of their kids — they are not allowed to be on the casino floor unattended if outside of the event center.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with the opening bell at 7 p.m., and tickets are available at upwprowrestling.com.
