Big Bay Sportsman’s Club hosts successful family fishing tournament

BIG BAY -- Big Bay Sportsman's Club hosted a successful family fishing tournament, bringing together anglers of all ages for a day of outdoor recreation, friendly competition, and community connection. This event was held during the Michigan Department of Natural Resource's Free Fishing Weekend June 13.
The event welcomed families, young anglers, and community members to enjoy the area's natural resources while celebrating the traditions of fishing, sportsmanship, and time spent together outdoors.
Organizers credited the tournament's success to the strong turnout from local families, the dedication of volunteers and the support of community sponsors and club members. The tournament reflected Big Bay Sportsman's Club's ongoing commitment to promoting outdoor recreation, conservation and family-friendly activities in the Big Bay area.
"We are thrilled with the response to this year's family fishing tournament," said Mike Touchinski, treasurer of Big Bay Sportsman's Club. "It was wonderful to see families spending time together, kids getting excited about fishing, and the community coming out to support a positive outdoor event."
Big Bay Sportsman's Club extends its appreciation to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, or helped make the tournament possible. The club looks to continue its tradition of supporting outdoor activities that bring families and the community together.
