Menominee man sentenced to 17 months – 5 years for probation violation

MENOMINEE — Edward Richard Hollston, Jr., 38, of Menominee, was sentenced to a term of 17 months to 5 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections for a probation violation of an underlying conviction for operating while intoxicated.

According to publicly-filed documents and information presented in open court, Hollsten was sentenced for the OWI third conviction in October, 2023, to a 10 months local jail term and placed on 3 years of probation.

Hollsten violated his probation by consuming alcohol in March 2025, August 2025 and December 2025, with a blood alcohol concentration of .25 and was arrested twice for domestic violence during that time.
