Marquette County Health Department now offering Doxy Pep

NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP -- THE Marquette County Health Department has announced that it is now offering Doxy Pep; a preventive medication that may help reduce the risk of certain bacterial sexually transmitted infections after potential exposure.
Doxy Pep may help reduce the risk of chlamydia, syphilis and gonorrhea. It must be taken within 72 hours after sexual contact, but is most effective when taken within 24 hours. Doxy Pep is not a replacement for HIV PrEP or PEP.
