Lake Superior Regional Indivisible to host informational election security event

SKANDIA — At 6 p.m. on May 20, Lake Superior Regional Indivisible will be hosting Promote the Vote’s Election Protection Director Mackenzie Walz at the Skandia Township Hall for a discussion about election security and federal, state and local governments’ roles in elections.

“She’ll be speaking about and having a conversation with us about election issues in Michigan,” said Lake Superior Region Indivisible’s Brad Veley. “Much of it, of course, is very good news: Michigan has perhaps the best, safest and most secure voting system in the US.”

Promote the Vote MI is a nonpartisan organization who describe themselves as “committed to ensuring Michigan’s elections are secure and accessible.”
