Iron Range Roll set for June 6

ISHPEMING — The 13th annual Iron Range Roll will kick off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 6.
The event starts at the Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum in Ishpeming, moving onto the Heritage Trail and leading through Negaunee into Negaunee Township before ending in Marquette Township near Barrel + Beam.
The roll is described as a 16-mile downhill point-to-point family friendly event.
Race packets will be distributed at the YMCA in Marquette from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 5.
Proceeds from the race support the YMCA of Marquette County youth programs and other local community groups including Aspen Ridge Middle School. Over the past 12 years, the Iron Range Roll has donated over $70,000 to the youth programs at the YMCA.
After the race, there will be a luncheon and awards party at Barrel + Beam beginning around 1:30 p.m., with awards being distributed to the top racers in each age bracket around 3 p.m.
