Host families needed for visiting delegation from Marquette Sister City Higashiomi, Japan
MARQUETTE — The Marquette Area Sister Cities Partnership is seeking host families for visitors from Marquette’s sister city in Higashiomi, Japan.
The visiting delegation will include seven people, including the Deputy Mayor, a Higashiomi City Council member, Higashiomi City Staff, members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Higashiomi International Exchange Association and Higashiomi citizens.
They will be visiting from July 19 until July 29, to celebrate the 49th year of the sister cities partnership between the two cities. Their visit will include two host-family days, but will otherwise be spending community days with the Marquette Area Sister Cities Partnership.
