Olympian Nick Baumgartner to appear at Kaufman Auditorium

MARQUETTE — At 7 tonight, snowboarder and Olympian Nick Baumgartner will make a speaking appearance at Kaufman auditorium in Marquette.
Tickets are $15 for the general public, $12 for seniors, $10 for Northern Michigan University students with ID and $10 for children.
“This year’s Spring Lyceum will feature snowboarder, recent Olympian, and 2022 Olympics Gold Medalist, Nick Baumgartner,” said Kaufman Auditorium’s executive director Athena Stanley. “There (was) school performances on Tuesday … and Wednesday 8 April, with a community performance in Kaufman Auditorium on the evening of Wednesday 8 April at 7 p.m.”
Baumgartner is originally from Iron River and competed in the 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022 and 2026 Winter Olympics in snowboard cross events. In 2022, Baumgartner won the gold medal in mixed snowboard cross with teammate Lindsey Jacobellis.
Stanley says that she is excited to showcase “Nick’s inspiring athleticism and pride for representing our incredible country, the United States of America, and the U.P.” at this event.
