City of Marquette releases Climate Action Survey
MARQUETTE — The city of Marquette has released a Climate Action Survey as part of their creation of a city-wide Climate Action Plan. The survey is open to all Marquette residents.
The creation of a Climate Action Plan was outlined in both the city’s Master Plan and Strategic Plan.
“A Climate Action Plan is a plan that lays out policies, actions and programs for reducing municipality or community greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to the impacts of climate change,” said a statement released by the city this week.
The survey will remain open until May 31 and access is available through the provided QR code. Paper copies are available at the Community Development Office in the Municipal Services Building at 1100 Wright St.
Questions on the survey include asking participants which aspects of climate change are having the largest impact on the Marquette community, and which climate-related issues participants are facing.
