Menominee County man arrested for criminal sexual conduct

STEPHENSON — At 10 a.m. Thursday, coordinated service team detectives and deputies in the city of Stephenson took a man into custody for alleged sex crimes.

This arrest is part of an investigation started in Daggett Township in 2025. After reviewing the investigation, the Menominee County Prosecutor’s Office issued warrants that led to the arrest.

Jamil Gomez-Castro, 30, of Stephenson was arraigned in 95A District Court on Friday on two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the third degree. Gomez-Castro remains in custody at the Menominee County Jail on a $25,000 cash/surety bond.
