New exec director at Bay Cliff
Monet Borione
MARQUETTE — There’s a new person in charge at the Bay Cliff Health Camp.
The Board of Directors of Bay Cliff Health Camp has announced that it has completed a search for its next executive directo, selecting Monet Borione who will succeed Clare Lutgen, who has been the executive director of Bay Cliff since 2018.
Upon Clare’s retirement on Dec. 31, Borione will assume responsibility for Bay Cliff, including personnel and facility management, the development, administration and supervision of Bay Cliff’s year-round programming, development and oversight of a balanced annual budget and leadership of Bay Cliff’s fundraising efforts, an institution press release states.
Born in Manistique and raised in the Upper Peninsula, Monet (Chartier) Borione graduated from Northern Michigan University with a bachelors of science degree in psychology and graduate coursework toward a master’s degree in organizational psychology at Roosevelt University in Chicago. She returned to Marquette with her family in 2015 where she served as a Child Welfare Services Specialist with the State of Michigan.
“Monet impressed us with her sincere desire to provide a safe, empowering experience for the children,” said Tami Seavoy, president of the board of directors.
Monet will lead Bay Cliff into its next era as she cultivates strategic and collaborative partnerships across the Upper Peninsula and beyond. The board will host a reception from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 7 at the Holiday Inn Marquette, located at 1951 U.S. 41, Marquette, to allow the community to meet Monet and welcome her to the Bay Cliff family.
