ISHPEMING — Tonight will see Ishpeming celebrate women in a Ladies Night Out. It will be hosted from 5-8 p.m., across various businesses in town including Milano Smokehouse Meats.
“We will have food samples, including cudighi meatballs, our jarred product line and a couple sandwich samples, as well as a gift basket building station,” said co-owner Katelyn Milano. “We will also have two small business vendors selling their own goods in the shop.”
This event is to help celebrate the women in the community and to help event attendees meet and get to know local businesses.
“Ladies night out is always such a big community event. It’s important as a small business to stay involved with our small community, to hear stories and share laughs,” Milano said. “However, it’s also important to listen and to learn what else the community is lacking or could use more of from the members themselves.”
This event comes shortly after the start of firearm deer hunting, which often throws a wrench in local businesses plans as a majority of hunters are away from town during this time.
“While we don’t have a bunch of events planned since deer season is around the corner, we do have a few small holiday parties we will be catering to,” said Milano. “But we are open to more events as they come along.”
Other businesses participating in Ladies Night Out include Finder’s Keep Depot and White Bear Maple Products as well as many more.
