Police: Foul play possible in missing person case

								Starle Goings
MUNISING — The Alger County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that foul play may be involved in the disappearance of Starla Goings, 65, missing since mid-August and the subject of a large multi-agency search since then.
In statements this week, sheriff’s officials said the disappearance is being treated as a missing persons case and that a search warrant was executed on property on Peninsula Point Road owned by Goings’ husband, Stephen. The agency did not say, however, what, if anything was found.
Goings has not been seen since Aug. 15. Her 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan was found two days later in the vicinity of 16 Mile Lake and M-94. Police ask that anyone who may have been in that area of rural Alger County around that time, or who may have trail cams set up in the area, to contact police if anything occurs to them or a camera reveals an unusual photo or video.
Goings is a white female, about 5’04” tall, 160 pounds. She has short, white hair and brown eyes. Police are unaware what type of clothing she was wearing.
The telephone number for the Alger County sheriff is 906-387-7030.
