MSP Wakefield post and Super One Foods hosting food drive

IRONWOOD — The Michigan State Police from the Wakefield post and Super One Foods in Ironwood are currently running a food drive to stuff a MSP “Blue Goose” patrol car with non-perishable food items to support community members in need.

The drive started on Monday and will run through October 31st. MSP and Super One Foods are collecting non-perishable food items which will be donated to local food pantries in Gogebic County.

People wishing to participate in the food drive can bring non-perishable food donations to the MSP Wakefield post Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. You can also stop by Super One Foods in Ironwood to buy donation bags that cost $5 or $10.

MSP officers voiced appreciation for the community’s help and the partnership with Super One Foods. Questions about the food drive can be directed to the MSP Wakefield post at 906-229-5372.
