Lake Superior Community Partnership announces honorees for Second Annual Small Business Celebration 

MARQUETTE — The Lake Superior Community Partnership’s West End Advisory Council has announced the honorees of the 2025 Marquette County Small Business Celebration. According to a partnership press release, these businesses and leaders have demonstrated exceptional dedication to strengthening the local economy and enhancing the quality of life in our region. The honorees are as follows:  

• Outstanding Small Business – Borealis Beach Region: Queen City Running Company 


• Outstanding Small Business – Iron Core Region: West End Gymnastics  


• Outstanding Small Business – Blueberry Farms Region: AV Rental Company  


• Outstanding Small Business – Moose Hills Region: The Lumberjack Tavern  


• Small Business Champion: Alexander Kofsky, executive director of Accelerate U.P. 


“The Small Business Celebration highlights how collaboration and community support fuel growth across Marquette County. When our small businesses succeed, our entire region benefits,” said Diana Sundberg, West End Outreach and Services specialist at the partnership. 

The event will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at The Mather, located at 107 E. Canda St., Ishpeming. This year’s theme, “Anatomy of a Murder,” pays tribute to the 1959 film that showcased the beauty and character of Marquette County. Attendees are encouraged to dress in 1950s vintage attire (though it’s not required) and enjoy an evening of celebration and networking.
