MARQUETTE — The worldwide celebration of all things plaid, also known as Plaidurday, is set for Friday.

Celebrated annually on the first Friday in October, Plaidurday is the worldwide celebration of plaid, “Because we’re all connected by a common thread,” reads the website, www.plaidurday.com. The inaugural celebration was held in 2011.

There will be a photo opportunity at 5:30 p.m. Friday on the patio at the Ore Dock Brewing Company in Marquette. People are asked to try to be on time to take the photo by 6 p.m.
