Monday morning sees 2,000-plus out of power
MARQUETTE– Marquette Board of Light and Power saw 2,236 of their customers out of power Monday Morning, as of 9:30 a.m., reported Find Energy LLC.
“There are currently 2,236 homes and businesses without power in Marquette County, Michigan,” said a report from Find Energy. “This represents 6.35% of the 35,209 customers we track in the county as of Sep. 15, 2025 9:30:53 AM Eastern Daylight Time. Marquette County, Michigan currently has the most power outages of any state and the highest ratio of customers out of any county in Michigan. Of the 4 utilities we track in Marquette County, Michigan, Marquette Board of Light and Power has the most customers out, with 2,236 without power. The utility with the largest percentage of customers out is Marquette Board of Light and Power, at 13.09% of customers without power.”
The Marquette Board of Light and Power gave a statement around 10 a.m. that they were in the process of working on the outage, but at that time they were unaware of what caused the power outage.
