ISHPEMING — The West End Health Foundation has announced the opening of its fall grant application cycles.

The application windows for the programmatic grant cycle and the second round of the 2025 proactive grants were announced on Tuesday. Applications must be submitted no later than noon (ET) on Sept. 26 through the foundation’s online portal at westendhf.org/grants.

The WEHF is offering two distinct funding opportunities this fall:

• Proactive grant cycle — Food security focus: The second round of the 2025 proactive grant will center on food security, addressing the growing need for accessible, healthy food options within the west end. A total of $40,000 is available to support eligible projects aligned with this theme.

• Programmatic grant cycle — Health and wellness programming: The programmatic grant provides funding for programs that support the health and wellness of Marquette County’s west end communities. Grants will range from $1,000 to $10,000, with a total of $50,000 in available funding.

“We’re excited to open both grant cycles simultaneously, offering organizations the opportunity to pursue funding for initiatives that make a direct impact on the well-being of west end residents,” said Kori Bjorne of the West End Health Foundation in a press release.

Interested organizations can find full eligibility details and access to the submission portal at westendhf.org/grants. For application support or additional questions, call 906-226-6591 ext. 107 or contact manager@westendhf.org.
